Collin Halliman, Program Director/ Founder
Collin has spent the past 20 years in the financial service industry in various leadership capacities. He's currently the President of The Halliman Group, an Investment Advisory Group. Collin has recently formed I-80 Sports Management LLC to provide training, camps, clinics and tournament opportunities to youth athletes in the Southland suburbs. Collins' love for basketball has led him to spend countless number of hours planning and organizing youth basketball events. Collin is married to his wife Tina who they share three children, Madison, Matthew and Mason.
Lin Whitehead, Head Coach / Founder
Coach Lin has been around basketball his whole life and has been coaching young players for the past 15 years. In Coach Lin’s 15+ years of coaching he has started two AAU organizations (Illinois T-Wolves and South Town All-Stars), coached at the high school level and elementary school level. Throughout Lin’s career he has been known for being a great teacher and motivator. Lin is really good at getting the best out of players and cares about the overall development. Lin loves the game of basketball and takes pride in being a “teacher of the game.” Coach Lin was a standout shooting guard for North Central College where he received in B.S. degree. He lives in Matteson, IL., with his wife and 4 children whom all play basketball.
Jason Kent, Head Trainer/Coach
Coach Jason Kent has coached college basketball at NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA Division I, AAU, high school and trained players for the past 17 years. Throughout his career Coach Kent has been responsible for recruiting student athletes, player development, strength and conditioning and player personal counseling. Sixteen of Coach Kent's former players have gone on to play professional basketball. As a player and coach; Coach Kent has won 3 conference championships, been a part of 13 post season appearances, and Coached 14 All-Conference Players. Coach Kent is known for his ability to maximize an athlete's abilities through hard work, determination and discipline.Coach Kent has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Charleston, a Master of Sports Science Degree from the United States Sports Academy and a Master of Education Degree from Ashford University.Coach Kent played his college basketball at Ohio University from 1992-1994 and the University of Charleston 1994-1996. Coach Kent resides in Tinley Park, IL with his wife and two children. .
Dave EsterKamp, Trainer
Dave has spent the past 13 years playing professional basketball throughout Europe with various stops in France, Germany, Austria and the past 6 years in Switzerland. A former Bowling Green State University standout that played for Coach Jim Larranaga the current Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Miami and current ESPN Analysts Dan Dakich. Throughout Dave’s playing career he has always been known as a winner and a hard worker. Dave has won a total of 5 championships (all at various levels), 7 cup titles (professional) and 2 MVP honors (Austria and Switzerland). A native of Cincinnati Ohio., the 35-year-old earned his Bachelor degree from Bowling Green State University and lives in Frankfort, IL with his wife and two children.
Jeff Altman, Trainer/Coach
Jeff has been playing, developing players and enjoying basketball for past 12+ years. Jeff is talented and possesses great work ethic and tenacity. Jeff’s love of basketball has taken him on a journey of playing university club basketball and coaching youth basketball for the Chicago Heights Park District. He has won 3 collegiate intramural titles at Southern Illinois University and participated in multiple NCCS extramural state and regional tournaments and was a member of the 2012 NIRSA National Title Championship team for the Southern Illinois University Club Basketball Team.
Jeff was born in Saskatchewan, Canada but raised in Park Forest, IL. Jeff graduate of Rich East High School in Park Forest, IL and graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Sports Administration.
Amir Ross, Coach
Coach Ross was a two sport (Basketball and Football) standout at Bremen High School and played AAU Basketball. He played Quarterback at the Collegiate Level at Winona State University and currently serves as the assistant coach for the sophomore football team at Bremen for the past several years. He was added to the staff of Bremen's sophomore basketball team this past season and will no doubtingly be asked to take on a larger roll in the near future. He's that GOOD!
Percy Scott, Coach
Percy Scott was a standout athlete at Richards High School. He played football, basketball and ran track and was once voted Athlete of the Year. He continued his athletic career by playing outside linebacker at Illinois State University then went on to play strong safety for the Peoria Pirates in the arena football league. Percy coached 5th & 6th grade basketball for 3 years at the western avenue community center boys and girls club in bloomington illinois. He is now teaching a new generation of players (4/5 yr old) the game of basketball for the Matteson Community Center Basketball League.
